What Motivates Customers to really 'LIKE- You'?

by Lee Pemberton - eCleanAdvisor Business Coach

Communicating your core values and purpose is vital for getting your customers to ‘Know, Like, &Trust' you.

This is what resonates and makes customers develop a relationship with you and your professional cleaning services.

A shared value might be something like concern for the environment, or attention to ethical cleaning processes, as well as a commitment to humane animal causes! Whatever it is, your professional cleaning service needs to demonstrate how one practices these values.

 What Motivates Customers to really &##x27;LIKE- You&##x27;&##x3f;
#1 - Identify and define your personal as well as business core values!
Your ‘core values' are the personal & business ethics that you share with your targeted market segments. State these clearly on your website and communicate them through your specialized services as well as your business practices.

#2 - Share your passions and interests that started you in

professional cleaning!
Share those that stimulated your start and progress as a cleaning professional! This creates an emotional connection with your audience and humanizes your business.
Example: Mine is and has been for over 60+ adult years, a passion to help small cleaning business owners, managers, and employees to successfully provide unique, specialty service processes to their customers at a reasonable profit.
(And I still love it!)

#3 - Show your smiling face!
Your social media profiles should always be with a head shot that shows you smiling. Put your face on your website and create content like short-form videos that make a personal connection.

#4 - Tell appropriate personal stories  .  .  .
Personalized stories create an actual bond between you and your customers. They show your human side and reinforce your core values. Do this by sharing compelling stories like your ‘origin story', stories of challenges you faced, and if appropriate, stories that take your customer behind the scenes.

#5 - Speak your customers language
When communicating online, study your average customer's words and phrases and, (if appropriate), adopt them as your own. Learn about their sense of humor so you can use it as well, (again, if appropriate).

#6 - Don't promote while building relationships with your audience.
If you use ‘made up' stories that cause the customer to feel like you're “selling” to them, this will quickly turn them off, like a cold drink in their face!! Focus on interacting authentically and save the sales for later.

#7 - Be generous.
Everyone loves a generous person. You might offer ‘free information' that helps people with their problems. Give away freebies like odor or spotting maintenance product discounts, or free memberships whenever appropriate.
NOTE: Never give your service processes away!

#8 - Go beyond expectations!
Do more than people expect of you. This creates a “wow” feeling that will make people love you.

Lee's Summary:
*Knowing as much as possible about your prospect/customer tastes, preferences, core values, pain points, and problems is essential to developing a customer who really likes you!

Strong Recommendation:
*
Develop closer customer connections through storytelling!
Use your own personal stories to tell:

*The “why” behind starting your business
     *Your personal/business's history
*Use customer reviews to provide social proof and show results you can achieve
*Reach out to customers for their reviews to develop more current stories
