Microfiber Technology is Changing Cleaning and Restoration!
WHY? - Simply Put: Microfiber Cloths do Everything Better!
From over the top television commercials aimed at consumers to serious scientific research articles directed to the health care field, cleaning with microfiber cloths has become a powerful and beneficial trend everywhere.
Why are microfibers taking over from the traditional use of cotton towels, mops & more? Simply put: Microfiber cloths do everything better!
Here's how:
Microfibers are 10-50 times finer than human hair. That means that a cleaning cloth that uses microfibers has more fibers and therefore more fiber surface area to remove and hold substantially more soil, moisture, (even mold spores and bacteria) than the fibers in a cotton towel.
Research has shown that cotton tends to just "move around" soil and bio-contaminants, where microfibers actually pick up and remove those contaminants.
What Do Microfiber Cloths do for Restorers?
1. Mold remediation work is more likely to pass clearance the first time if microfiber cloths are used. The highly adsorbent fibers will pick up more bio-contaminants than any other cleaning cloth.
2. Contaminants in cotton towels are not easily laundered away, and may even inactivate antimicrobial treatments when reused, and in some cases, actually contaminate a surface more than it was in the first place! Disposable microfiber cloths prevent this from happening.
3. "Meth" clean up results are also far better, as these toxic materials are also readily adsorbed by microfiber cleaning cloths.
4. Microfiber cloths more efficiently distribute antimicrobial treatments, which makes them more effective while using less product.
How Do Microfibers Help Professional Cleaners?
"Microfiber mops are proven more efficient and effective than sprayers for applying tile and grout cleaning detergents"
1. Application of cleaning agents to hard surfaces, especially tile and grout as well as vinyl products like luxury vinyl tile and vinyl plank is both more efficient and more effective.
2. If sealers and finishes are applied with microfiber mops, there is both better distribution of the product as well as less product used.
As both the cleaning and restoration industry continue to evolve, the demand for finding ways to "do more with less" to minimize costs as well as to better serve our customers continues to grow!
We must take the time to evaluate the many ways that using this evolving microfiber cleaning technology can help make our businesses more profitable and the homes and buildings we clean and restore more healthful as well as clean.
