Market Your Services With Powerful Stories!
Following Are 5 Types of Stories to Consider When You Market Your Services
I feel that at least one or two of the 5 story types that follow will be useful for you to use when marketing your unique service to interested customers.
#1 - Stories That Tell Your Business Reasons For Grouping Unique Services
Your business story should be the story of how you researched and combined these unique services making today's changing home environments a better place for all the occupants. Be sure to explain how your business focuses on the unique problems your customer faces and solutions that work.
The goal of this type of story is to create an image in the reader's mind of your business. Your story helps to drive home what you do differently than others and how you offer special value.
#2 – Stories That Communicate Your Personal Business Values
Another really special type of story is one that communicates your personal, heartfelt business values. It might describe how you came to develop your personal business values, and what you discovered along the way as you built your business. These stories describe what you personally stand for.
Every company website usually has a page that describes their mission. The problem that occurs here is that the developer uses fluffy words that simply mean nothing at all!
Your personal value story here must show in concrete terms what you and your business stand for and what changes you intend to provide for today's uniquely changing home environments in your market area!
#3 - Stories Sharing Your Original Reasons For Developing These Specialty Service Solutions
Another story you can tell is your 'backstory'. This kind of story talks about the origin of part of your business. It explains why you started it as well as what inspired you. It might focus on a problem you faced and how you developed a solution. You can talk about the emotions you experienced when you first began to see customers' reactions as they experienced your unique grouping of services solving their problems!
#4 - Before and After Stories of Results You Have Achieved
Before and after stories are great for highlighting the solutions your unique service groupings can make in someone's life.
#1 - The story starts off with someone in a bad situation or facing an ongoing problem.
#2 - Then, it contrasts their home after they've experienced the results of your package of unique services as the problem was solved.
#5 - Customer Reviews Have Become Today's Powerful Stories!
Today's customer reviews are great stories that you can and should use for your marketing because they feature someone else explaining how your unique services helped them. These are also easy for your audience to relate to. They can see themselves in the customer.
Your customer reviews must be authentic in order to have the greatest impact. I strongly recommend that you ask everyone of your customers to provide a review! — You will find that if their home life has truly been affected for the better by your specialty services, they'll be pleased to do it. This is “social proof” that demonstrates the results you've succeeded in getting for others.
Always Place Your Customer in the Main Role in Your Stories
No matter what kind of stories you tell, they should all feature the customer as the main character. Know your audience well and always make them the hero of your story.
This will make it more relatable and paint a picture of what will happen for them if they use your services. Remember that the goal of using stories is to sell, not just tell. Keep this goal in mind as you craft your stories.
