"KNOW"- Your Preferred Consumer Segment!

by Lee Pemberton - eCleanAdvisor Business Coach

     .    .    .    And Help Them KNOW YOU!!!

  ‘Know'– You Must Increase Awareness of What You Are All About!

The kind of “knowing” we're discussing here goes well beyond just recognizing your business's logo. When a customer knows your personal ‘brand', it means they know who you are, what you stand for, what drives you, and what makes you unique. These tactics grow your personal/business brand's awareness as well as communicate deeper to build likability and trust.

Following are some things you can do to grow this “awareness of what you're all about”:

KNOW- Your Preferred Consumer Segment&##x21;
   #1 - Be Consistently Active on Your Local Social Media
Focus on problems of interest to a specific segment; maintain a consistent social media presence; and spend some time posting useful content while also interacting by focusing on those who are aware that are from preferred segments of your local cleaning market.
(by the way, ‘consistent' does not mean play time!)

You will gradually develop access to even more prospects by way of several specific social media platforms starting with Facebook & your Google Business Profile. (“Google” is far more than just a “search engine”) This means that you will have the opportunity to make contact with even more people who have problems that you can help!

Once you have developed your strategy, you'll know how to connect to new people and what your purpose will be. It could be just to expand awareness of your business, or it could also be to develop awareness of your problem solving capabilities a new market segment.

#2 – ‘Website/Blog' -- Optimized for Search Engines.
Social media alone can't begin to replace the results received from starting with your own humble website/blog as your foundation!

When time permits, set up a solid website/blog that you can fill with important, useful and relevant content for your customers, as well as video descriptions of your specialty services & potential results.

Select high-search keywords to use naturally in your content. Maintain your content-rich website that's easy to navigate.

Lacking any further time to spend, once you set up your basic website/blog you should consider my following suggestion:

#3 – Carefully consider affordable, paid advertising.
After the website/blog is established and functional first, paid advertising can get your message in front of your market segment quickly. Coupled with sending email, it's one way to create a flow of traffic and attention much sooner.
