"TRUST" – Builds Your Loyal Customer Base!

by Lee Pemberton - eCleanAdvisor Business Coach

When you can promise excellent customer experiences, your customers will trust and recommend you. What's important here is to provide a seamlessly positive experience every time someone interacts with your business.

#1 - Offer Consistent, Reliable Quality!
Letting the quality of your content or offerings slip can seriously hurt the trust you're building. Your customers won't see you as an unfailing source of information and help.

Know your customers' expectations, and don't disappoint them!

#2 - Remove the Risk!
Offer honest, understandable guarantees, so there's no risk in doing business with you. Find out what risks really concern your customers and be sure to remove each one.
Never make a promise you can't keep! Never offer a service that will not provide the results you have promised!

#3 - Demonstrate Your Value.
Don't expect your specialty products packaged with your unique service processes to speak for you! Focus on solving problems that your customers face when you engage with them to show you're worth working with. Keep in mind that in our cleaning industry the consistent problems are solved when receiving regular attention.

#4 - Use Customer Reviews.
Paying attention to asking every customer for a review offers a valuable form of social proof. They show potential customers the results you've gotten for real people. Reach out to every customer every time and ask if they'll write you a review to display on your website.

#5 - Be Yourself.
In todays' electronic universe, everyone is marketing online. People can tell when someone is being dishonest with them. Be yourself and be transparent.

Your Key to the ‘Know, Like, &Trust Factor'
is Knowing Your Chosen Market Segments Well

You must understand your chosen market segments well in order to build the strong relationships and emotional connections necessary for them to do ongoing business with you for the  long-term.

Data you need to know (as possible):

#1 - Demographic data: such as age, gender, location, education level, and occupation. Your messaging needs to resonate with as many of the following characteristics as possible.

#2 - Psychographic data, including interests, hobbies, values, beliefs, and lifestyle. (This helps you identify with them at a deeper level.)

#3 - Needs and pain points: Recognize the problems, challenges, and issues your (customer/prospect) faces in each chosen segment so you can offer relief and solutions.

#4 - Communication channels, including online social platforms that your segment uses to engage with when shopping online.
(Example: Facebook & Google )

#5 – Look for information regarding competitive businesses that they like and patronize. It is very important that you understand the competitive landscape to differentiate yourself and find unmet needs that you can fulfill for your market segment.

Spend some time researching to learn about your preferred market segments. Use social listening, surveys, and other methods to compile data and look for trends. Once you know your segments well, you'll learn how to build relationships and create personalized experiences leading to long-term loyalty.
