Dog Feces Now Subject to DNA Testing!

Why Property Managers Test and Record Dog DNA:  

A cleaner recently told me about a property management company that requires tenants to have their dogs DNA taken and submitted to a company who keeps the dog's DNA on record. 

I have to admit, I thought the person who told me this was joking with me!      

Wow, was I wrong! This is what I discovered:

I researched the matter and learned that uncollected dog waste is not just unsightly; it also damages grass, pollutes the environment, and potentially can spread disease to children.

It turns out that the astronomical growth of pet ownership has made this a serious problem in many communities, and especially so where renters have dogs. To combat this problem, companies now provide a service where uncollected dog feces can be tested, matched to the DNA sample on file,  and the offending owner fined, or if it happens repeatedly, evicted!

We now live in an era where pet ownership has changed in ways that could not have been predicted.
