Is This "CRB" One of The Most Versatile Floor Cleaning Tools
Money Can Buy?
This Valued Customer Thinks So!
I am sure that all or most of you are aware that Pembertons distribute specialty cleaning product lines designed especially for use by cleaning professionals, which of course, includes comprehensive carpet cleaning & maintenance products.
One absolutely intriguing "specialty tool" we handle is known as the "Brush Pro" - a "counter rotating brush" cleaning machine that we recommend primarily for its ability to perform the encapsulation carpet cleaning process so effectively.
And . . . The reason I conducted the following interview with a valued customer, is that he found uses for the Brush Pro that most other cleaners (including myself) haven't thought of or tried.
This is a unique cleaning professional customer of ours who I depend on for his curious and innovative mind and enthusiastic willingness to try new things.
In a recent conversation, he was so excited about his investment in a Brush Pro that I asked if I could interview him for the CleanTip. Our conversation follows:. . .
---------------------------------------
Q #1. "Where did you first hear about the Brush Pro?
A #1. "I originally read about it in a mailer Pembertons sent to me, but I actually got to see a Brush Pro and also used it at the Commercial Cleaning Bootcamp. I asked you about it at the end of the program and you told me to go ahead and use it to clean the carpeted stage that was being used for the presenters. It worked so well that it really sparked my interest, especially when I saw the difference on what I thought was a fairly clean carpet!
---------------------------------------
Q #2. What made you decide to make the investment in the Brush Pro?
A #2. I can now see that the Brush Pro is faster and better for encapsulation cleaning of a carpet than a rotary scrubber with a pad or bonnet. It's hard to believe how it really digs out the sand, hair, and lint. That alone shows me that the counter rotating brushes scrub the carpet fibers far better than the bonnet or pads.
---------------------------------------
Q #3. Tell me the uses you have put your Brush Pro to so far, and your reason why?
A #3. Obviously I use it for encapsulation cleaning of carpets. I also use it to scrub in my pre-spray on nasty carpet jobs, plus I use it to scrub natural stone, as well as clean pebble patios at this point.
---------------------------------------
Q #4. You recently sent us pictures of a heavily soiled commercial carpet that you cleaned by using both the Brush Pro and the Brush Pro powder.
Please tell us about that job, its soil conditions, how you cleaned it and when, and why you used the Brush Pro powder rather than using encapsulation cleaning?
A #4. The job was at a machine tool supply company, and they get lots of oily residue from their employees going to tool shops and then returning to the office. It is on a quarterly cleaning schedule, twice a year it gets hot water extraction and twice a year it gets an encapsulation cleaning. I cleaned the lightly soiled areas with Encapuclean DS because they are lightly soiled, and I now am using the Brush Pro powder on the main traffic areas where there is a lot of oily foot traffic residue on the carpet.
In the main traffic areas, I ran the sweeper, sprayed Encapuclean DS and then applied the Brush Pro Powder. I scrubbed in one way then repeated in the opposite direction. Next I attached the renovators which catch the dirt and Brush Pro compound and went back over the area collecting the now dirty powder.
I used the Brush Pro powder because it is for heavier soiled areas and is supposed to capture the dirt rather than just encapsulate it. I also figured that the oily residue would have something to absorb into if I used the Brush Pro powder. I was right! It came so clean that the customer even mentioned how much better it looked.
---------------------------------------
Q #5. Tell us about the way you have used the Brush Pro for hard surface cleaning.
A #5 I used the Brush Pro to scrub some natural stone outside of a restaurant that was getting greasy. They had hired a pressure wash company to come and try and clean it but they were unsuccessful. So they called me and asked me if I could get it clean. I sprayed down some tile and grout cleaner that also can be used to clean stone, and then scrubbed the stone with the Brush Pro to get into all the cracks and crevices in the stone and in the grout lines. (It looked a lot better just scrubbing it). I then extracted using the SX-12 and it was perfectly clean
---------------------------------------
Q #6. Please add anything else you'd like to say about the Brush Pro.
A #6. At first I wasn't so sure about using it for anything but encapsulation but I decided to try it on some of the more challenging surfaces that need agitation, and it really performed well. I love using it on carpet rather than the wand or even my rotary jet extractor, because its so easy to use. It feels like it just floats on whatever surface you are cleaning. And it is a lot easier on the back than the wand.
