Shag Rugs. What You Need To Know
by Lisa Wagner - the Rug Chick

Shag Rugs. Clean them or toss them?

Seems like every year we get crazy new rugs coming from the whacky minds of designers.

They are fun ideas in the beginning... until you discover that some are not even cleanable.

And that's what is happening with a big group of popular rugs out these past few years, and now badly all becoming in need of a good cleaning - SHAG RUGS.  .  .  .  .

These come in all colors and fibers, and each with their own set of challenges for the rug cleaner. My latest post covers all the nooks and crannies of shag rugs.

I hope this gives you some insight on these rugs, and ideas on how to get them cleaner if you do decide to take the job on.

Happy Rug Cleaning!

- Lisa

P.S. This is a good article to share on your own blogs to help educate your customers. It might be if they see the challenges with these rugs specifically, they might choose another better textile for their home. As long as you credit me for the article, and provide a link to it directly, you are ALWAYS welcome to share any of the education I provide with your customers. I write them to share. =)
