Indoor Air Quality . . .
Lee Pemberton

A “must read” monthly newspaper arrived on my desk this week, and the information it contains is so important to each of us that I felt I have to share it with you.

We all get mail that it is easy to overlook in our busy lives, but we also need an alert when something of high value is made available. This newspaper is titled “Indoor Environment CONNECTIONS” and is published for the IAQ industry, and I consider it high value!

As I browsed the newspaper I learned of new mold regulations in Florida, Radon standards in Oregon as well as pending legislation in 5 other states especially directed at school buildings.

I also read about the FDA seizing unapproved Ozone generators that were being sold with health benefit claims!

But, as one of the so called “mold sensitive” people, an article by Dr Burge, director of Aerobiology at EMlab P&K especially caught my eye.

The question was raised  -  “Do non-living fungal spores release allergens?

They have an online version that I find a bit difficult to use (but if my eye's were better I might not have as much trouble) and you can go there to read some very interesting data prepared by Dr. Burge.
