Don't Miss Out on This Remarkable Trend!
Jim Pemberton

It's particularly beneficial to have the new RCT category in place as consumers turn to more hard surface flooring alternatives for living areas, area rugs have climbed to a 16.7% total production market share. And that figure doesn't include the import of Oriental and specialty rugs and it continues to climb.

Don't know about you, but by far I'd rather clean a rug in my facility for $3.00-5.00 per sf than drive to a home or business and clean wall-to-wall carpet for 30¢ per sf. -- That's $324 for a single 9x12 rug!

The new IICRC Rug Cleaning Certification Category is taught by Aaron Groseclose, the President of Masterblend, a Colorado-based manufacturer of carpet and upholstery cleaning chemicals and equipment. He has over 20 years experience in the cleaning industry, is a Senior Carpet Inspector and has instructed carpet, upholstery, oriental rug and commercial cleaning seminars in the U.S., Europe and Asia. He is also a contributing columnist for ICS magazine, writing the Rug Specialist.

RCT covers natural (wool, silk, cotton, linen, coir, sisal) and synthetic (rayon, nylon, polyester, acrylic, olefin) fibers, weaving, hand-knotting and tufting; dyeing; rug types and identification; cleaning techniques ranging from minimum-moisture to total-immersion; fringe cleaning, blocking and minor repairs and more.

This is a hands-on rug cleaning course, with live demonstrations of hooked, oriental and designer rugs, and also demonstrations of actual cat urine removal and 3 methods of fringe cleaning. You'll learn to identify all major types of oriental and specialty rugs.

The course is being held in our facility and features complete immersion cleaning in an affordable rug pit that you can build or purchase.

Prerequisites for taking the RCT certification are the Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) and Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning Technician (UFT) Certifications. This is one course that you can't afford to miss.

Only $595 covers the entire two-day hands-on course, student manual and lunches both days. The IICRC RCT exam is offered at the end of the course.
